Banking in Asia

Featured Replies

i have been twice in Thailand, i wll be back soon, im looking for opening a bank account in Asia, wich country should be ok with 10 000$ ? i have been told that it's comming harder in Singapore or Hong Kong without work paper, and banking in Thailand it's too much troubles.

Thank You very much :)

Because of new laws in the U.S,it will be getting harder. Not impossible but maybe difficult.

Its hardly worth messing around with Singapore and Thailand for a total of $10,000 Its just spending money, yes?

If your a US citizen..good luck with both HK and Sing , besides if you do manage to get an "offshore" account open, you would be well below the threshold for fee free banking and will be getting hit up for around SD 25/m fees in Sing

Certainly in case of Citi in Sing for fee free banking you need a minimum balance of USD 20 -25k

For such a small amount of cash keep it under your mattress
