Bangkok Bank Debit Card On Internet

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to use/setup a Bangkok Bank Visa Debit card to be used on the internet. I'm trying to purchase my friend an online-only airfare special using her Bangkok bank debit visa card but it isn't working...any suggestions would be greatly apperciated.

It won't work. AFAIK no Thai DEBIT card will work for an internet transaction, they lack the necessary security features :o Thai CREDIT cards work just fine for online transactions.

I think this is the same with many Asian debit cards. My Philippine debit card won't even work in many shops in the Philippines, let alone online, useful only as an ATM card.

Yep, Thai debit cards are just glorified ATM cards.

I've got a Siam Commercial Mastercard and online it's useless. The only good thing is that I can access my Thai bank account through any ATM in the world!
