Successful blood drive for Phuket expat teacher in hospital

PHUKET: Enough A negative blood has been collected after an appeal by HeadStart International School to help its PE teacher Dean Jackson.

Mr Jackson was in a road accident and suffered a broken leg. This required surgery but there was a shortage of his blood type at the Thai Red Cross Phuket Regional Blood Center.

It took a few days to collect enough blood from donors, but doctors at Phuket International Hospital operated on Mr Jackson last night.

He is now in ICU awaiting the results of his operation.
