was chatting with the gf about the future and said 'dont count your chickens before they're hatched'

she said in thailand they say 'don't draw the crossbow before you see the squirrel'

just wondered how other proverbs contrast between back home and here, any examples...?

In German the same proverb would be something like don't share the fur before you killed the bear.....

i often ask Thais if that have this or that saying and usually they do but altered to some degree. Occasssionally they dont.

In English, "not the full shilling"
