Why do Farang feel the need to use slaughtered Thai?

Might get some flak but here goes. Why do people in what is supposed to be an English forum feel the need to use absolutely egregiously bad Thai transliterations to make themselves look like they are in the know?

So I live in Upon Ratacatani I live with my mia and we go to gin cao. We bai to the restaurant and some puu ying is there, she was the waitress. So I order kai dao and some kee kwai for me and mia. It comes out late and just as I was going to go to the hong num I bumped into my mia noy by mistake. She says sabai dee jao. I said sawdi cup and she just giggled like I am somehow stupid. I tell her not to talk to me now and she agrees and comes in with me and sits back with me and my mia! I explain to her we only gin cao and only have kee kwai to gin. She says okay tirac! Now mia is crod mak mak why she angry with me? This is what passes for language skills here and for all the people thinking my transliterations are terrible they are bad on purpose mac mac ca. I guess my point is that when you start mixing pidgin and absolutely horrific Thai it doesn't make you look like you are in the know.

I know one explantion is that people of different languages use different letters to represent the same sound but if you have not ever aan pasaa thai please refrain from kian pasaa thai, especially in English.

Why are posts written in English script but in thai allowed so much on this forum?

I do get it... you have been here 3 months and know what sadee cup means and how to gin cao but it is slightly annoying. That is my rant for today.

Thank you for your wela and cup jai lai lai mak crap.

Pommie Cow Jii coon muckity muck, Crapadoodledo! 555!

Trendier than ebonics?

Trendier than ebonics?

Don't get me started on that, the amount of plastic rastas I see here in the UK trying to speak patois, makes me cringe.

What the OP is actually saying is unless you can speak and read Thai well, like him, don't bother with your pathetic transliterations.

Who said I can speak and read Thai?

Also it is an English language forum is it not?

Which is right though IMO.

I haven't come across any posts on here like that but I could see the annoyance of it.

My particular post was a long winded exaggeration to say the least. I have an interest in this particular topic because I can think of an actual way to help this issue.

Probably another Nation journalist.

They must devise their stories from the stuff people talk about on forums.
