Ordering a taxi

Featured Replies

I need to order a motorcycle taxi however I have been relying on a Thai person to organise for me. In an effort to use the Thai language more please can someone tell me what phrase or phrases I should use when ordering a taxi? Assumedly I'd need a translation of "Can I get a motorcycle taxi to pick me from?". As simple as possible and any useful phrases they may throw back at me so I can answer hem. Cheers!

Motosai maa where-you-are dai mai, krub? = Can a motosai come here please?

Pom yak pai where-you-want-to-go? = I want to go to x.

They'll probably want to know when. Something like "Kii mong, krub?".

I guess you want to answer ton-ni = now.

And don't forget khob khun, krub = thank you

And smile and emit jai dee vibes and you'll do just fine.

If all else fails you might want to get yourself a dictionary with benefits.
