thepool
HIV medication is strictly controlled and cannot just be "bought" If a person considers themselves to be at risk/in need of treatment medical advice must be sought.
Sheryl
"pep pills" are illegal. HIV medication is prescription only. The least expensive source is the Thai red Cross, see the pinned HIV thread for details.
orchis
Maybe he means 'post exposure prophylaxis' (pep). see a doctor, perhaps an ID (infectious disease) specialist. Edited March 15, 2014 by orchis

I think you are right, makes much more sense. Lack of caps made me miss it. PEP must be prescribed by a doctor and should be started as soon as possible, preferrably within 48 hours, and at least within 72 hours, of exposure. It is a 4 week course of treatment and not without side effects so should be reserved for serious risk exposures.
