Hemp Rope?

With the strict laws regarding anything related to cannabis, I doubt anyone is willing to cultivate hemp in the region. The close relation between the two is probably too close for the authorities.

why does it have to be hemp?

He likes the way it feels next to his skin, I much prefer the soft Japanese ropes, less scratchy :o

Well, someone had to lower the tone by reading some sexual quirk into the OP's request for a particular type of rope.

I think the people who grow hemp are more interested in something other than its qualities for making rope!

My apologies--you ask a simple question and get a ton of smart a*s replies!

I am told I would have to smoke 5 tons of the hemp plant that one uses to make rope in order to get the slightest effect, and conversley canabis sativa and canabis indica (the strains that conatain T.H.C. the "active" ingredient) are I beleive useless for rope making.

Yes, the two plants are closely related but hemp itself has little to no narcotic properties. The close relationship and similarities however has led in the past to a ban on it's cultivation in many countries.
