Popular Post scottishjohn
I am sitting in the new 'Welcome Inn' on the site of the OLD "Olde Bell" Usual disclaimers etc regarding connections; Just to say it is enjoying a welcome 'soft opening' and is much easier to spot than before, given its much more obvious frontage! Let's wish Boom & Andy all the best with this new venture in CM

Thighlander
Please let me know if they have Happy Hour(s). Lotus just lowered their prices on Tiger Yai to 55 THB, and they've had the born on 18-02-2014 for about two weeks. I wish them good luck, but I'm not going to any bar unless i know it's fresh and cold. Until I see a lot of improvement LK is for currency exchange and MM is for the dermatologist/dentist. I'm sure it's not a franchise but either way a franchise is owned by the franchisee. I don't know if there are any franchised pubs in Thailand but if there are, they would probably be Thai owned. jonwilly
Dave's photo suggests the bar will be open front and so not aircon. Wonder what the menu will be, same as Peder did, which was good or new ideas ? john

khwaibah
i'm always amazed by the nicknames of Thai ladies who work in bars. You need to get out of the bar scene and Chiang Mai and explore Thailand to understand names that Thais give to each other.

Any "Red" animal would be ok in Chiang Mai I guess. Except for "The Red Buffalo". That would be a name that draws attention...
