BANGKOK: -- Police may have a break in the "whistle murders" after reviewing CCTV footage of a group of men dumping what might have been a body into the Chao Phraya River.

Three people found were found dead with whistles around their necks earlier this year, crimes suspected of being politically charged murders.

On Friday police released CCTV footage showing a group of suspects police suspect are responsible for the murders dumping a large, suspicious object into the river.

The Metropolitan Police Bureau believe the three three murder cases are linked. The victim was discovered on Kamphaeng Petch road in January. Another was found in late February when the corpse was retrieved from Chao Phraya river. The third victim was kidnapped in Lumpini Park, beaten up and dumped in Bangpakong River. He was rescued by a local boat on March 3. All three victims had a whistle around their necks, not wearing their own clothes, and had their hands and feet tied up.

Whats the point of having CCTV cameras,if those are the best images

they can produce, I suppose they were bought at a price that included

a commission, hence the very poor quality images.

The CCTV footage released Friday was captured at the Rama VIII bridge on Feb. 24 showing suspects in a truck negotiating with the cleaning officers because the bridge was close for cleaning at the time

So a killer(s) dragging around a body, negotiate (with maintenance workers and witnesses) there way onto a closed bridge to dump a body? Really?

More than likely they ar eintended to monitor vehicular traffic and not individuals on foot. You don't need high resolution for that purpose. Where a bridge has a history of suicides, then high resolution cameras would be worth the cost for public safety.

When you got a job that needs to be done, it's got to be done! On the plus side, PDRC will get the transparency it always wanted.

....members of the committee of "good people" ...

Why do you blame Chalerm and Jattuporn, without evidence?????

By all means make a joke of it. But make no mistake....these thugs arranged as guards for the PDRC are as nasty as they come . Street thugs and more or less operating with impunity following some weak sister decisions in the legal arena. Be careful what you wish for....

Sure the images are blurry, but let's not forget, the main issue for using these CCTV cameras is to detect traffic jams etc not to solve crime and mysteries...

And there are some techniques to sharpen an image afterwards, so you can see more.

Based on what evidence ......... oh yes, your hearsay and a few comments and photos from the RTP.

And the red shirts - all decent law abiding peaceful defenders to truth, democracy and rule of law? Just like their new leader, eh? Dream on.

Wow, you must have sharp eyes and a top desktop computer with high-end image filtering software.

Imagine [put intended] seeing Suthep in those blurry pictures posted in the OP rolleyes.gif

Ask yourself a few questions....have the Reds that killed the children been caught yet, have the police arrested anyone for Firing grenade launchers, (mostly at woman) have any of the people in photographs throwing bombs been prosecuted (or caught?). Could it be that the police synpathies are with the people that you obviously support ?? Who are the real thugs ?

He possibly thinks that as Thaksin, Yingluck, Chalerm and the rest of that mob don't attend court, then it must be ok for him to do the same

Reminiscent of those claiming to see the Jesus Christ in a slice of toast.
