I have seen those clowns so hard up to bash and insert spin that when a clip did not come off in the intended defaming fashion, the anchorperson actually excitedly announced "di'ja hear what (he/she) said?" Then proceeded to emphatically and redundantly repeat a selected phrase from the interviewee's response in their own dramatic pitch to falsely portray unease, evasiveness, confusion, etc.

I cannot imagine any of those lightweights got his job without someone pulling strings for them. Here is another gem. I was tuned in while an anchorman went off on all the oddball religions now in the USA. His grand slam viva voce vindication of his thesis was stating that a well known actor "...is som-m-m-m- Buddhist!"

Yeah I know- Got off on a bit of a tangent here but the point is that Fox is spin and dirt. They are not news reporting and they don't know their asses from a hot rock.

I Just watched an al Jazeera report, They say The Thai response for not giving information out for 10 days about flight MH370, was that the request from Malaysia was not specific enough!!!

I'm no fan of Fox and tuned it out of my cable stations a long time ago, thankfully True doesn't carry it BUT I have to say Thailand brought all the criticism on itself.

It's hard, if not impossible, to defend failing to supply even the barest of information on a terrible incident claiming " we weren't asked ".

Thainess at it's best or worst depending how you view it.

The Thai authorities made it even worth with their most stupid answer to the question why they did not inform anyone about the radar sightings. Sounds pretty much like a statement of jerks to me.

My post was based around the undeniable fact that mainstream TV news is tanking hard across the board, all the giants have had ratings plunges in recent years. But as I find it hard to not poke fun at Fox when I'm given a golden opportunity such as this one, I didn't feel like going into the whole "most people use the internet for information instead" stuff.

I don't have any TV channels at all - just a basic web package, and I don't know anybody who still watches TV. My friends all get news from the web, from direct sources they trust, from reading publications or from listening to some of the better radio stations.

CNN is further down the road to lifestyle-show perdition, but other TV news is not far behind. News TV especially the agenda-driven / govt-infiltrated programmes can not survive in the internet age, the fun-sized quackademic snippets that these programmes were built on have literally drowned in the sea of online information, these shows will eventually be reduced to the fringes along with the poodle-grooming and kitchenware shows. Kids will chuck rocks at them in the street. It is that bad.

Reduce the problem to a size maybe we all are more familiar with. Let's say your young child goes missing in your neighborhood.

The entire city is helping to look for the missing child. All the emergency services and hundreds of volunteers are dedicating time and resources with no leads. Days pass. Folks are at wits end. Then, the neighbor from across the street offers up information that should have been disclosed when all the commotion started. They tell you, "I saw your child heading up the street to the north at 3:30. This as 7 days ago."

Wouldn't it have been helpful if this person came forward when the information was fresh and resources could have been applied in a focused and timely manner?

Where is the fact that the last position was over Malaysian territory (Strait of Malacca) and Malaysian officials should have tracked the plane too.

No word from Singapore officials in that case, when it is clear that they must have the plane on radar too.

After all it was an unidentified plane heading to the Strait of Malacca without track signal, so the question must be why did the military of Malaysia not react ?

Is it really the business of Thailand's military to report an unidentified plane over Malaysian airspace ? Guess not, but that's what Great Van Susteren and Fox news doesn't tell you.
