LG G Pad 8.3 in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Currently in Bangkok for about 1 month, was wondering if if the LG G Pad 8.3 is sold anywhere? Ive had a look in a few stores but not much luck. Seems to be only Samsung and Apple tablets for sale.

On a side note, if I was to import one here, are there any fees? (Im an Aussie citizen, if that makes a difference)

Thanks in advance from a new user smile.png

cheers

If they don't have them in MBK, Pantip Plaza or Fortune Tower, I'd give up.

If all you have checked is the high end malls, you're missing 90% of electronics available here in BKK.

My favorite is Fortune Tower, at MRT Pra Ram 9 Station. MBK at BTS National Stadium Station is a close second, but too crowded for me. Pantip is too long a walk from the BTS Chid Lom Station (and poorly laid out)

Thanks for the reply!

I have checked the high end malls, I know they arent the best for electronics, but I was visiting them anyway so had a browse. Have looked at MBK as im staying nearby, every store seems to be Nokia and Samsung.... Especially the mobile phone level....

Am yet to visit Fortune Tower, and Pantip has many fake products??

Is Digital Gateway any good?

There many brand tablets other than Apple and Samsung available in Phantip. Stay away from the little shops selling cheap imitations and you should be OK. Banana, JIB, CSC, Advice and IT City (5th floor) Appear to be selling genuine products. Lenovo, HP, Oppo and Nexus (7) are some other brands on sale. I've bought good machines from both CSC and Advice. Advice (3rd fl) seems to have the best deals. Don't forget to bargain. So far as getting to Phantip, a motorcycle taxi should only cost you 40-50 baht from any nearby BTS station. Hope that you find a tablet to your liking.
