The theory is that YS is given an extra 15 day, delibirately so Songkran could be celebrated and cashed in on in reletive peace.

Think about the possible carnige if the ruling to impeach her was given BEFORE songkran....

get it?

Would Thailand's englash language media please, please, please hire some native english language speakers to at least proof read their material.

Pretty please.

I think the press does pretty darn good in print of their second language English.

" Final ruling by the Supreme Administrative Court reached with a vote of 9-0 that Yingluck’s transfer of Thawil was unlawful, and an act of power abuse which is against the Constitutional because it just meant to be an advantage to her relatives. "

This is what this is all about - awarding positions through unconstitutional means to relatives. It is the quintessential Shinawatra specialty. Pheu Thai/UDD supporters want to talk about Suthep. They don't want to talk about the unconstitutional practices of the Yingluck administration. This is a very strong, unanimous verdict. It would be remarkable indeed if the Constitutional Court did not come to the same conclusion as this court. The Administrative Court first ruled on this last May. Yingluck's appeal has finally led to this week, and this final verdict by the Supreme Administrative Court has affirmed beyond any question of doubt the unconstitutionality of the act. But in addition to this is the NACC investigation, and the Senate bill which was deemed unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court. In short, the Yingluck administration is surrounded by an avalanche of constitutional litigation. So what do Pheu Thai/UDD supporters do ? What else can they do - they talk about Suthep.

His biggest ever demonstration following Songkran will be a victory party. YL's done.

However, what happen's now? I can't state rumors here, but there is one interim PM that would be acceptable to both sides. Let's see how it plays out.

He really loves to be on stage and talk the same day by day, week by week, month by month.

Suthep's endless farewell tour.

This will be the final victory rally.

He explained why didn't he?

Anyone that can't see this is the end of the government is either incredibly stupid, ignorant or just as blind as can be.

Suthep has won this one as predicted by the more clever and intelligent folks.

The PTP brought it all on by themselves.

Lets all get together and talk about Thaskin awarding positions to relatives, especially the one promoted from Major to C.I.C. a few years back

You know all you suthep lovers out there, what would have happened if Yingluck did the same thing that abisit and suthep did 4 years ago??? But she has not because she knows that is not the way to a democratic country. But suthep does not want a democratic country he wants a dictatorship like what was in power back in 1991.

You know running a governemt is close to running a company in that if a person is not right for the job you move him or you fire him.

Brothers, brothers in laws, cousins, great grand aunts whatever! This is Shinawatra democracy, placing family members in key government positions. bah.gif.pagespeed.ce.-cCHYEZ1Lo.gif alt=bah.gif width=19 height=19>

Gosh yes, and there are no other members of Suthep's family in positions of power right? And there was no corruption in Thailand before Thaksin, right? How can you type this stuff with a straight face?

Man you are so correct.

I think we know how it will play out. The reds will then start their campaign to oust the unelected government. It's a Merry - Go - Round in Thailand.

Is this idiot preaching another final push?

No, he's just making clear that he will not give up before the goal is reached.

Yea the goal that he becomes Thailands dictator.

The chance that Suthep thinks he could/would become Thailand's dictator is so small it's laughable. It will never happen, and there is no way he is thinking he could be. Think about it rationally and you will agree.

...........and the remedy is:

Put the country under a UN-Mandate. Governed by technocrats that have NO affiliation with Thailand and it's "Elite". This for the duration of 5 years. The country would be up and running !

Otherwise, Thailand will more and more turn into a "basket case" that can pride itself as the only true "Banana-Republic" left on this globe, except for some notorious cesspools located in Africa.

Cheers.

Well they also threaten physical violence if they don't get their way. In fact they have started delivering it. All the way from 30 of them beating up a monk on a cane to grenades being thrown at children.

"...Mr Suthep said in case the court ruled in favor of Yingluck, the PDRC would still protest until she was overthrown on other serious crimes she has committed to the country.

They were ready to accept any ruling by the court, but the redshirts would never and would turn to violence, Suthep predicted."

Suthep is then no different than redshirts. As much as redshirts are committed to see the PTP stay in power, Suthep is as committed to see Democrats return to power. Maybe an elections could settle this political conflict. Oh, it was held but nullified, so another will b eheld but PDRC will continue to blockade election polls. Suthep and his PDRC is as much a political problem to get Thailand back on a democratic track as the PTP.

I am sure he has it already. Although not what he would like.

I think that the world already recognises him for the corrupt fascist would be leader that he is . This is why he is largely ignored on the world scene.

The only corruption this guy wants to wipe out is the Shins. his corruption doesn't matter nor anyone else s. Once he gets his cronies in power it will be the same as we have now. Thailand going around in circles.

I wonder how many of Sutheps sheep could look him in the face and say Please dear leader, can you tell us that you have never been corrupt, and why did you not do something about corruption whilst you were deputy PM., apart from getting your snout in the trough

Yes, alright, Jesus, we get it red sheeple, there are other people apart from Thaksin and his family and his cronies in Thailand who have been and are corrupt, none of us ever said there were not. Change the bleedin broken record please !

So you think the Shin's corruption is ok then, do you ? What if it was your tax money they were stealing and your children's future they were flushing down the toilet to help themselves become rich ?

Forget all this 'democracy' and 'elections' nonsense - it has nothing to do with this. This is all about 'Dear leader Thaksin' trying to rule the country as though it was his own private property and install himself as supreme dictator. All this other stuff is just lies and propaganda to try and cover up his crimes - sadly some of you sheeple and a great many uneducated country bumpkins have been taken in by the smoke and mirrors.

This is about morals, ethics, good governance - the Shin's never display any of these qualities. Just helping themselves. Suthep is not whiter than white, nobody ever said that he was, but he has become a figurehead in the fight against the Shin dynasty, and why not, they have been trying for the last 10 years to get him and finally branded him a murderer for trying to protect the country as was his job.

The Shin's have proven time and again what bad self serving selfish hippocritical crooks they are, they should be brought to book and pay for their crimes against the country and it's people, and yes, crimes against democracy too.

As long as the Shin's remain we are stuck in the quagmire where we have b been he last few years, once they have left the political landscape Thailand can try and pull itself into the future.

My retrenched Thai staff don't think he is too clever now. Keep it up Suthep and I'll keep cutting costs.

We had to destroy the country to save it.

- Suthep Thaugsuban, November, 2014

No side is going to win this.... this political standoff or whatever you wish to call it. But there is going to be a loser. Your staff seem to be in on the ground floor of that. On that single point, Anand Panyarchun has been relentless, and he has been repeatedly correct. Come October, and it's not Suthep, Yingluck, Thaksin or the Democrats up creeks without paddles. It's Thailand.

Trully great Man, brought down his own goverment.

The Great man Mr Suthep is about to get his day , their are not many individuals as strong and dedicated to a cause as this man , lets hope he will get world recognition after this .

1995 to present corruption scandal[edit]

As part of the Sor Por Kor 4-01 (สปก.4-01) land reform scheme, Suthep gave title deeds to 592 plots of land in Khao Sam Liam, Kamala and Nakkerd hills of Phuket province to 489 farmers. It was later found that members of 11 wealthy families in Phuket were among the recipients. Suthep addressed a huge crowd in his Surat Thani constituency a month before a no-confidence debate and called on his supporters to march on Bangkok in the hundreds of thousands to defend his reputation.[5] The scandal led Prime MinisterChuan Leekpai of the Democrat Party to dissolve the House of Representatives in July 1995 in order to avoid the no-confidence debate.[6] In subsequent elections, Thai Nation Party won a majority, leading to the downfall of Chuan Leekpai's Democrat Party-led government.

Wikileaks diplomatic cables from the US embassy revealed that many members of his own party have long complained of his corrupt and unethical behavior.[7][8][9]

2009 disqualification as MP[edit]

In 2009, Suthep was accused of violating the Constitution of Thailand by holding equity in a media firm that had received concessions from the government. Under the 1997 Constitution of Thailand, which Suthep had supported, Members of Parliament are banned from holding stakes in companies which have received government concessions. In July 2009, the Election Commission announced that it would seek a ruling by the Constitutional Court to disqualify Suthep.

Suthep held a press conference a day later, announcing his decision to resign from Parliament. Suthep's resignation as an MP did not affect his status as a Deputy Prime Minister and as a Cabinet member. If his case had been submitted to the Constitution Court, he would have been suspended from duty as Deputy Prime Minister. He insisted his resignation was not a proof that he had done anything wrong but that he was worried about status as Deputy Prime Minister

Any one can google and find heap of accusations where was he convicted ?
