sanmyintmaung Posted April 4, 2014 Share Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) KBZ Bank of Myanmar announced that it will not refill ATM cash reserves during Thingyan festival.Each ATM will be filled up to 20 Millions Kyats maximum on 13 April 2014 which is the day before the Thingyan festival.There will be no refill until 17 April 2014 which is after the end of Thingyan festival.There is a possiblity that ATMs in high traffic areas may run dry before the scheduled refill on 17 April 2014.Any issue regarding ATM withdrawals can only be resolved after Thingyan festival.Travellers are advised to carry reserve cash during the Thingyan festival to avoid any inconveniences from inavailability of ATM service.
