khman Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Hi, I have enough of my bad internet (shared in condo)I need mine Ideally I would like the best/cheapest unlimited offer... But I have decided to deal with what exists... and adapt my usage to their restrictions, mostly volume based (maybe I will only download from ADSL, ...) Do you use 3G on your computer? Are you very happy (maybe not very quick but quite OK for normal surf, reliable, ...?). Do you use AIS, DTAC, True, CAT TELECOM...? Which one is the best in terms of quality/quickness? I use DTAC and can't even do the Speedtest there : http://www.speedtest.net/ (ideally if you could check your bandwidth here....) Thanks...
Amusements Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Personally I think True H is the best one so far. Check out Net 599 or Net 899 http://truemoveh.truecorp.co.th/3g/toppings/iplay/entry/654 I get 11 - 13 megabits/ps via my true 3g dongle, and when it run out, I get unlimited 348 kbits/ps (minimum) which is fine for email and general surfing.

Been there tried True, so slow after you eat up the limit.... yes perhaps fine for email, but not much else... To OP see if you an get 3BB ADSL put in... if you want continual speed without be squeezed to a snails pace.... 1
philthebook Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I find it depends where you live, I tried all the networks and found AIS to be best where I live on Chaweng Hill, on a good day i get almost 5Mpbs DL using my phone 1
khman Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Thanks, Bought today TrueH+Mifi router (but you can share with a smartphone... same price...) Very good very happy. I took 5GB, I don't know if it will last 3 days or 30 days, but then I'll check if I can survive with 384kb/s Many thanks for your help. PS : No, can't take my own sub to ADSL
pokerspiv Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 It's very location dependent. I used to use True and was very happy with it, but after I moved apartments the True reception wasn't so great so I ended up switching to AIS. The best thing to do is get a smartphone and try all the different SIMs which you can do for about 100 baht a pop. Just a tip, you won't get much value out of a 3g service if you using it for watching online videos or downloading torrents. That will eat your 5gb allowance in less than a day. 1
samuijimmy Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Here you go, Samsung has come up with a solution Perhaps it will work well around the Plae Lam temple, (sp)?.... cos that's about the only place you see pigeons here..... http://www.samsung.com/uk/discover/mobile/launching-samsungs-fli-fy-pigeons/ So if you get shitty..... lousy service you'll know who to blame.....
khman Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 Hello Just to let you know I bought the True Mifi 3G+ Works very good.... but once you get to the limit of your subscription (for me, 5GB), it is very slow indeed. Enough for checking emails or skype, but still not comfortable for browsing... Unfortunately no other solution, except pay 899thb each time you finish the 5GB... In my case 5GB stands only about 10 days... and I avoid big downloads. Too bad, I would pay 2000thb or so for even half full bandwidth but not volume metered (or 1GB per day...). I checked prices for 3BB, DTAC, about the same, 800-900thb for 5GB in 3G+... Also, I heard, but not confirmed, most DSL operators don't work well lately? Maybe the island and its connexion to mainland...?
BigC Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Also it depends on how much data u use They normally start off fast bit once your fast up load and download package has been used he internet slows right down When you buy unlimited for 1 month the amount gigabytes you down load and up load is limited Need to ask in the shop to clear Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app
