I was traveling on Ramkhamhaeng Rd. when I noticed the foward fuselage of a 747 along with another fuselage and maybe wings laying in a small open field. No sign of anything being done with these. Anyone no why they are there?

I just googled it. Probably an old Orient Thai 747. No idea what's in store for it but its on the site of An old beer garden?

I was told it has been there for over 30 years. Maybe someone was planning to make in into a restaurant?

There have been a number of cases where old 747-200's were parted-out in odd locations to avoid scrutiny and excise taxes. Old engines bring BIG money, sometimes used to power pumps on oil pipelines.
