where are you going to build?

How many floors?

How many bathrooms?

Western kitchen?

anywhere between 6000 baht per sq m in Isaan to 50,000 baht per sqm for a palace with a gold plated dunny in Phuket

Im looking to build a single storey thai house on the east coast with 2 bathrooms 2 bedrooms and a western kitchen does 15000 baht per square metre seem fair?

12,000 - 15,000 p/m2 is about right and certainly not overpriced considering rising prices of construction materials due to bonkers oil prices.

Some on this board might say that 6000 per square meter is nearer but those days are long gone unless you want the worst quality materials and dreadful finish.

Bear in mind that at that price you should be getting A grade branded tiles and A grade porcelain ware from the likes of Cotto or American Standard.

Do a search on this forum for the word "construction" for more information than you can shake a stick at.

Good Luck

Our house is about 1-1/2 years old. The house was 8,695 THB per sq meter with the additional costs of: 230sq m. 3br, 3bath. Land is not included.

1. Security grating and screens 80,000 THB

2. Teak Kitchen 105,000

3. Tile drive way 28,000

4. elec hookup 30amps three phase 38,000

5. Electrical fixtures 30,000

6. Stove, sink etc 30,000 approx.

7. Electrical box 12,000

I think prices are up at least 10% since then.

Good luck
