Greetings TV Fans and Mods,

I had a Thai friend write down the address but it still took 4 tries before I found a driver who would take me from Rama IV @ Lumpini Pk. to Suksawat Soi 60. I think we were on Rama III for a bit and we crossed the two King Bhumipol bridges. Anyway, it was Bt.110 for the fare.

If you drive there, go into the entrance, between the buildings under construction and all the way to the back parking lot.

I got there about 10:10am. Loads of people. The big waiting room was almost full. The staff were all wearing shirts with small flowers. Some desks were open and stamping away. Re-entry Permits and Extend Tourist Visa were cued up 10 deep. My desk wasn't open yet but a flower shirt lady showed me the table where it would be and lo and behold they showed up 3 minutes later. I got #C001 and was shown to an empty section of the big waiting room. It filled up fast and they didn't start calling numbers until 10:35.

I got called at 10:48 and, paperwork all in order, I was outta there (2000 baht lighter) in 15 minutes. The worst part was sitting there for 13 minutes while the automated voice called every other number BUT #C001.

So I think it depends on the type of service you need that determines your waiting time. Tourist visa and Re-entry permits were very busy.

Cheers,

'nuff said

Did you get the visa/entry stamps or do you have to go back for them?

Hi!

Did both of these 2 temporary places (ladprao and surasak) are fine to ask for an extension of stay ?

(60 days upon married with a thai or 30 days classic if any refusal...)

I guess both should be as crowdy all the time ?

They are both full service immigration offices. You can get your extension at either one.

Don't worry you will get your 60 day extension.

Suksawat is normally less crowded according to reports I have seen.

Well Joe, you're everywhere !! Thank you deeply.

I'll let ya know, should be there friday or next one.

And if'you're by Bkk once, let me know i'll share a drink with pleasure ;)biggrin.png.pagespeed.ce.XhpYJIv77v.png
