A Interesting Article From Bangkok Post

I really doubt that the ICT is as sophisticated as the article implies. Thai authorities have always been understaffed with incompetants, and even if they did have the technology to pull off all this hijacking, I doubt they'd have the personnel necessary to operate it.

Yes, Thailand has freedom of speech... with some very big exceptions. The King is probably the biggest, and it's a favorite tool that politicians use against each other. Two others are pornography and gambling, both of which are illegal. I'm not saying that I agree with the methods of the ICT (stupid, at best), but I'm saying that they do have the law behind them (for most cases, at least).

freedom of speech means that you can also speak things which the people in power don't want to hear.

A freedom of speech as long as you have my opinions is not a freedom of speech.

But I think there are not many countries with a true freedom of speech.

Surely overstaffed with incompetants?

As to hijacking I thinks Don's warning is timely the staff may not work hard for the ICT but they might work hard for private gain, and whover (if anybody responsible for security easily fooled).
