Bali's channel 7 TV just showed a report stating that the Australian Embassy in Bali is flying 2 injured Aussies a day, and one Australian die in Bali every 9 days.....

That's because Bali is full of young Australians who are drunk/drugged out of their skulls and still doing things like driving or diving. So they get injured or worse. The only real surprise is that so few die.

One Australian days in Bali every 9 days? I can't really believe that figure. Especially not if this is only for traffic related accidents.

I just read this:

In 2010 there are 27 deaths of tourists in Bali by driving accidents. Most of them are Australian, and American.

Not especially. I never get the people who claim to have personally witnessed 23 motorcycle deaths in two trips etc.

Or claim to be lifelong experienced motorcycle riders but pronounce that riding in Pattaya is too much of a risk.

Ridden and cycled thousands of miles with very few problems, but then I'm not particularly skilled or a liar.
