A site is only vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug if it uses SSL and Thaivisa doesn't have SSL

But anyway follow the important rule:

I can confirm that none of Thaivisa services is affected, or has been affected, as we are not running SSL.

In short, normally when you go to a secure site all data you and the site sends is encrypted which means that someone else cant read the data that is being sent or received.

Very Basic Example. Hacker sends the text "HELLO", normally the secure site should also send back "HELLO" but because of this bug, the secure site sends "HELLO and a lot of random data, this could be email address, password, user id, bank account number etc etc" <- This will be in total 64Kb of data the server sends back.

What you can do yourself.

Basically nothing, as its the secure sites responsibility to update their software and their server certificates.
