Nai Harn Police Checkpoint

As of today, 11:00am, Tuesday, 15 April, there is a checkpoint set up at Banana Corner in Nai Narn.

All motorbikes stopped, including those who are wearing helmets. Must be license and passport check.

Some cars stopped as well.

Huge number of people lined up to pay fines.

And you point? I have been stopped on my bike in Phuket several times and never paid a baht, because everything was legal, unlike Bangkok where if you are stupid enough to stop you will never leave without paying a 200 baht "driving while white" fine.

I too drive legal, but you never know if they are going to find something. (plant something.)

If you are licensed and legal as most people i know are they are not a problem

Yes...lots of checkpoints at the moment because they need money for whiskey.
