Like normaly from you, your post is bs.If their is one group of members on this form that are not blindly following a certain party line. Go do some reading on this form and you will see that most members you call yellow supporters are not a fan of Suthep, they are just sick of the corruption from this so called government. You can just go ahead and keep believing defending the ptp and your master Thaksin. It's clear that you don't have a clue what has has happened, or is hapening in Thailand. But I have to give you some credit, you are a verry devoted red puppet, Thaksin and his cronies will be pleased with you. And now go play somewhere else. I guess you post reflects that you do not have a really argument against the responses to the OP You incorrectly assume that any one who fails to bow to the might PTP supports the Democrats On a personal note - am I one of the "democrat supporters" ? We could have a vote here on TVF and that would have as much to do with democracy for Thailand, as a election that see a government that ignores the constitution, separation of powers, and mostly the people - including those that voted for them. Monkey see, monkey do...look monkey at failed Thai Political state...do monkey have another election... Even a chimp can work out that when something is failed then flogging it to death again is not going to give a different result to the next and the next failed state. A thai peoples court fugitive convicted criminal, with a string of further offences awaiting trial (including what should be a charge of treason for his attack on Thailand, the Thai Army and the Thai people in 2010) is running scamming the country from abroad...and you call that democracy to get past the 1st step of an election? Thailand is not even worthy of calling itself democratic let alone considering having an election. It is a pathetic failed state being dragged down into the gutter by its political and partly social ever increasing corruption, incompetence, patronage and selfishness. But hey lets have another election...then the next lot of soi dog and pig scum that pass for most thai politicians can swirl in the trough at the expense of all thai's and Thailand. It is about a fugitive doing everything he can to get out of serving his gaol time. I don't care who wins the election as long as they rule in a legitimate, consensual, democratic manner. They also need to ensure that corruption along with the intimidation of opponents and the judiciary by street gang thugs is eradicated, that economic policy is based on what is possible not what will bring in the most votes, that there are no more blanket amnesties and parliamentary procedure is not abused. Finally, and most importantly, the guilty go to gaol.

China would seem less-convenient due to distance, for Africa and the former-PM's mining-interests, than the Gulf ? Just seems odd, is all. Just speculating, but could it possibly be he is becoming persona non grata in Dubai, maybe due to the Thai court ruling last week with the Saudi's.Like they say "Blood is thicker than water". Thaksin is not welcome in Dubai anymore starting 2014. Mid 2013 they told him he would have until the end of 2013 to leave Dubai. Reasons: he kept on interfering with Thai politics which they asked him numerous times not to do from Dubai. And the fact that he has enemies among muslim extremists. Dubai didn't want to be in the middle as a muslim country. That's why he tried to pull the amnesty bill stunt at the end of the last year. China also told him previously he cannot make political comment etc., out of China. China may have told him, but does not seem to have been too interested in trying to enforce it. Perhaps tablet or train deals had something to do with it? Wonder for how long he will be welcome in China if no such deals happen, or have to happen with due tender and accounting procedures. I tell you what with all your negative comments on thaksin I guarantee if he ran in the next election the PTP would win in a landslide not that they won't anyway! Not sure if you include me in "the democrat supporters on here" ? I do want the annulled-election to be re-run, and unlike you I don't "know what the result will be", except that I suspect the level-of-support for PTP has fallen further since July-2011. What little has emerged, about the voting on Feb-2nd, does rather suggest that ! As memories of Thaksin's (few but admitted) glories fade, the rice-farmers & former-Reds look back at several years of troubles and turmoil and economic-mismanagement by Thaksinista-governments, often led by other members of the family. They recall the long-delays & outright-failures in implementing the pay-promises, the One-Child No-Tablet scheme which over-promised and under-delivered, the disappearance to-little-effect of B350-billion on flood-prevention-work & poor-management during the 2011-floods, the constant Cabinet-reshuffles of the same old tired faces, the rice-scheme which has caused serious financial-trouble for the country & long-term damage to the industry & which still has to be paid-for (when those bonds fall-due), the disgraceful prioritising of Thaksin's version of the Amnesty-Bill over the one which was intended to release their own people, the constant absence and whinging of the faux-PM, the bickering & shuffling-for-power amongst 'their own' UDD-leadership, the attempt to keep the vast long-term infrastructure-spending away from public-scrutiny, the failures-to-pay-up on the rice-scheme & the new-car/new-driver policy. They also recall the several years of political-turmoil since 2006, the deaths & injuries & protests, for which he must surely carry at-least some of the blame, he's not been fighting for democracy because "Democracy is not Our Aim"., as he memorably said while still in-power himself. And these things slowly erode the image of the absent Big-Boss, as 'fighting for justice' (for himself, and his family, not for them !) or putting the poor first, ahead of the Shin-elite in their desperate scrabble to hang-on-to-power at-all-costs, or being some mythical-saviour who could ever now "win in a landslide" as you claim. Personally I think that, in a straight referendum on giving him an amnesty & letting him return without facing his cases in court, he'd get only minority-support. No wonder he appeals ever-more-desperately for forgetfulness and forgiveness. Edited April 18, 2014 by Ricardo

spidermike007
This shameless schill, Thaksin’s private lawyer Mr Noppadon Pattama, says the big man wants peace. So, why does he not simply return and face his sentence, and be done with it? The level of cowardice this insect has demonstrated since he was deposed is staggering. He is the most decisive man in his country, he continues to tear the country apart at its very seams, and he has the gall to continue making these ridiculous pronouncements? What a goombah. What a louse. What a tiny man. What a poor excuse for leadership. Shame on him.

He'd have been a man of the people willing to pay his debts to society. He'd have been PM for all eternity. But no, like the sake he is, he is he chose to abscond and slink about evading justice like a petty criminal on the run. Dutch typical statement telling people to shut up if they express an opinion. Bit like your mate in the par! While I do think Suthep's right about the need for constitutional-reforms, indeed even Yingluck has agreed that they're needed (although not about timing), I don't blame the poor farmers for not supporting Suthep, IMO he's now a fairly marginal voice with much less support than in November/December. The Dems should be happy to let Suthep go his own way, Abhisit should 'grow a pair' and lead the Dems to take part in the election re-run, whenever it happens, or perhaps stand aside & let Korn take over as leader ? The Thai elite do need to share more crumbs off the table, I don't think Thaksin has shown much inclination to do so himself, handing-out thousand-baht notes to Isaan-villagers really doesn't count, and Thailand doesn't need a Hun-Sen or Marcos either. Not sure who "your mate in the par" is ? If Suthep then I hope I've been clear that I think he's gone overboard, hope that he does retire from politics as-promised, once this mess is over ?
