Criminal Court rejects petition for Nuttawut, Jatuporn's bail revocation

BANGKOK: -- The Criminal Court decided Friday not to revoke bail of Jatuporn Promphan and Nuttawut Saikuar, two red-shirt leaders, as petitioned by the Democrat Party.

The court reasoned that there were no strong evidence and witness to back up allegations by the Democrat that Jatuporn, chairman of the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship, and Nuttawut, incited violence during the recent rally in Nakhon Ratchasima.

The court, anyway, warned the two red-shirt leaders to be careful when organising or making speeches during future rallies.

Actually I don't think that it would be a major headline. While not a court date, he did show up without protest to hear charges at DSI.

To accuse the judges of corruption because they come up with a decision that doesn't suit your view only discredits you and makes any posts you make in the future suspect.

If you, or anyone else is going to talk about justice then you must accept the courts rulings even though you don't like them.

My theory is they have something planned before May 8 which would cancel the court appearance. Maybe they are hoping to start a civil war by then, or burn the courts down, or plan a trip abroad, or ...

Or then again, maybe they are just hoping to get away with 3 weeks this time, reasoning that one month would be too long.

Politically those two are more dangerous to their own side out of prison, If we look at both sides of dispute more people have got their own side in trouble by what they have said than caused damage to the other side. I suspect that when the election do eventually take place it will be won by more people voting against the other side than people voting because they want the winner in power. Safest tactics in those situation is to keep your heads down and appear to be the reasonable person/party. Both of them are loose cannons.

What kind of penalty would you recommend for refusing to attend courts for a murder trial or refusing to surrender to police on insurrection charges despite outstanding arrest warrants . I don't recall you making such a emotional appeal over sutheps transgressions, why is that, do you keep harping on about the sanctity of the law, only when it suits?

Not that I agree with the decision, but I t could possibly help in the long run. How are these two criminals going to get up on stage and claim the courts are bias now? If there bail would have been revoked it possibly could have re-sparked the attitudes of the vast amount of support they have lost since 2010.

So look on the bright side, besides who was going to arrest these two terrorist? Their bothers in arms, the RTP, Chalerm and Tharit in desguise, snow balls chance in hell.

Best thing the courts can do is grant them their 15 sick leave. Locking them up ahead of the bigger ruling will only fuel the fire of the UDD rallies, leaving them be allows the courts more evidence as to their violations during the coming two weeks.

There is a HUGE difference between a court that makes a ruling to removes dangerous people from doing damage to the nation and a court that releases dangerous people to do damage to a nation.

They made sukhumband step down over something that his election aids/supporters had done which suggests that they are. if anything, biased against the Democrats.
