Where to buy pizza cheese in Thailand?

Featured Replies

Please don't say Makro -- the price performance ratio makes awful look acceptable. I know Thais are only beginning to discover cheese, but there has to be a company or imp[ort company here somewhere...I just can't find it. Reply or PM me, please.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Where are you based?? Tops, Foodland, Villa Market and there are places in most cities. Friendship in Pattaya is one apart from the other obvious places I have stated.

Are you using the right type of cheese ?

Mozzarella : The quickest, easiest and cheapest to make of all the cheeses is the cheese that generally goes onto pizza throughout the world. It doesn't require much (if any) ageing so it's easy to manufacture even in a country with a climate like Thailand's where refrigerated cold storage rooms are expensive.

You can buy it anywhere. It doesn't have much taste on it's own so you might want to mix it with some cheddar / something stronger.

I agree that the pizza loaf cheese at makro is pretty bad but the mozarella mixed with cheddar from australia works pretty good.
