Hahah anyone else noticing the rides are extra hot?

I think today was extreme but I was jonsin for a good ride after being in the US for a few weeks

so went anyway & at mid day as I had some things to do in the AM

Didn't mind though as the roads were empty on my fav twisty ride.

I think the extra high heat may have even increased grip laugh.png

I made nearly 60 km today in Bangkok with leather/mesh jacket, boots and half gloves on a very hot 650cc inline four engine!

Hot but I am OK with it after 10 years in tropics. I hate cold though! Prefer hot always to cold.

40 degrees yesterday in Ladprao at 11:45 am (according to the outside temp on the car). I wouldn't ride a bike at mid-day in this heat unless I was guaranteed no lengthy stops - which kind of rules out any area in Bangkok...

Went to Korat today and went through a new route. Took HWY 2148 and was happy to discover is full of nice twisties but it's only about 25 km long.

Heat didn't bother me much add I kept my speed high while on the HWY, if wad a little more than inconvenient while I stopped for a few minutes to find a place I was looking for on my Gps. On a way back it was raining so I had to take those twisties at a slower rate. It wat a good day neverthless, put about 250 km for a round trip.

Yep, its hot! But i expected it to be this way end of April. Today i rode my scooter without jacket and in shorts, flipflop and half-face helmet xohmy.png.pagespeed.ic.shABmucp9T.png It must be hot if i sacrifice my safety like this biggrin.png

You could suffer a "Severe Loss Of Face" if you come off the bike and hit the dirt!

Yes same as others said when I was moving I was ok.

Although I did smile a few times when feeling heat waves in sections

come up under helmet.

But yes the Dainese mesh jacket I wear is fine for airflow

The only time you really heat up is when stopped & I only have two

stop lights on the way.

But having been gone for 3 weeks I did stop to air the tires

There was an older falang putting 50 lbs into his tires on his tiny truck

That was the only time I started dripping while waiting for him to get done :)

It's been hot in Pattaya the last few weeks. Would you guys like to see a picture of the heat rash on my buttocks?

Yes very hot indeed, eh no thanks man, we believe youbiggrin.png

The mesh net I bought for my PCX is helping keeping the seat cool when parked in the sun and I find the seat much more comfortable too.

I had a ride yesterday Pahon Y, Rachada, Pahon Y, Ladplakao Rd. It was around around 2-3 pm. I was hot yes but not as much As I would think I would be. After fortune town I went to Esplenade to get my Subway lunch.I didn even take off the jacket. Really windy jacket , with all zippers open ofcourse. If it wasnt for the busy Roads I would do it more often never mind the heat.

LL I cannot even imagine full leathers in this heat & I know Bangkok

is probably hotter than here wink.png

Your tough 555

not only leathers but also base layers, hard short (ass protector), full body armor - back and chest, full gloves, full helmet, full boots!

I got cramps that night due to the loss of water although drank like 10 liters.

Still, it is better than cold:)

Two days ago I clocked 45c on my truck readout, I was in the sun, though the sensor is shaded form direct sunlight, but never seen that before in 6 years.

Riding without a shirt must be worse than leathers, although I guess you end up with leathers (skin) anyway,

My seat gets red hot, the missus sits down in it and, well...dis-arsed her!! smile.png

I prefer heat to cold, except when I am hot.

Yesterday, i was at Nakhon Chai Sri - Circuit of Thailand with some friends from 09.30 to 15:00. Track is open until 17:00 but no power and heat robs your concentration so we cut it short.

It was hot again in leathers and although drank like liters of water, still got a bad headache after i reached home that bothered me for hours:(

Waiting for the rains. Rainy season is cooler although summer.
