Ambien or similar in Thailand

Featured Replies

I have just recently moved to Thailand for work for 1 year. Due to my crazy schedules I used to take Ambien in the US (with prescription from my doctor) to help me "turn off" and get a good sleep. Before you get the wrong idea, let me say that I am not an addict and usually take maybe 2-3 per month. Before coming to Thailand, I asked one of my friends who has been here several times if it was available in Bangkok and he said yes. Well, I came here a few weeks ago and the first pharmacy I went to didnt understand what I wanted and the second one just said "no have". I didnt think much about it but now that i started working i find myself unable to sleep more often than not.

Does anyone know a pharmacy in Bangkok where Ambien or similar is available?

Thank you for any advice :)

A generic version of Ambien called, "Zolpidem" is available in Thailand, but only from a hospital where you will have to see a doctor first. The max prescription will be 30 tablets.
