We need your point of view: Survey about Body Esteem and Thailand's Expat Women

Featured Replies

Dear Expat Woman,

My name is Nantaraj ‘Tina’ Mansuwan and I am a graduate student studying Counseling Psychology at Assumption University Bangkok. I’m currently working on a final thesis about foreign women’s adjustment to Thailand. I have lived abroad and experienced the fun, difficulties and rewards of being an expatriate women living in a foreign culture. I know that expatriate women are a diverse and remarkable group of women! My personal experiences made me want to study how living in Thailand effects the way expatriate women living here see themselves.

My study just includes a brief survey that takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. In order to participate, you must be western women currently living in Thailand and over 18 years old. If you would like to participate in the survey, please click this link:

Your responses will be anonymous (you will have the option of giving your email address if you want to know the results of the study). My advisor is Ben Weinstein, PhD and the Graduate School of Psychology of Assumption University has approved my research. Information from this research will be used for research/educational purposes only, and not for any other purpose.

Please take a few minutes to help us understand more about what it is like for foreign women to adjust to Thailand. Also, please feel free to share this message with other expatriate women who are currently living in Thailand. The survey will be available online until June 15, 2014.

Thanks very very much for taking the time to read this message. And thanks for taking a few more minutes to complete the survey and share my message with your network. Please email me if I can answer any questions for you.

With Sincere Gratitude,

Tina Mansuwan
