Happens all the time to the tourists who use the Khao San Road tour companies.

I always have my suitcases shrink-wrapped. It's a pain to unwrap though once at my destination.

Never had any problem since I use this system.

I could not agree more, but unfortunately my wife is a harder person to convince I always tell her that the luggage allowance is a limit, not a target.

A good defence for drug couriers.
