Popular Post Longtail2
Tommy as many of you will know has enjoyed life to the full we all have many stories and memories we can treasure. Boy we are going to miss this guy. The island has lost another true character. Tommy over the years has raised money for many people in need operations for many children people who have had accidents the list goes on & on how sad and tragic that he should be taken so young when he had so much to offer and give. Life can be so cruel why are the good taken and the bad left I just don't understand. My thoughts are with all his family & friends and his new family which he loved so much. Only the other day he said to me at last I am so happy a beautiful to be wife a beautiful child and a house I am proud of it can't be any better ! Popular Post george
Samui resident Manchester Tommy passed away on Sunday morningPopular Samui resident Thomas Graham died unexpectedly in the early hours of Sunday morning.Tommy, 38 from the UK, had been enjoying a night out watching Manchester United play Norwich City at the popular Premier Sports Bar in Bangrak on the night of the incident. After the match Tommy felt unwell and at around 2-30am he was taken to a local hospital where he was given a clean bill of health by doctors who suggested he may have had too much to drink and advised the friends that took him to the hospital to let him sleep it off.At such a late hour his friend and Premier Sports Bar owner John decided to let Tommy sleep in the back of his truck when he found himself unable to move Tommy to his apartment due to his large stature. Concerned about his friends well-being John asked the security guard in the car park to keep an eye on his friend and provided him mosquito repellant, pillows and blankets.Tommy (right) and his friend John Later the guard alerted John to the fact that Tommy was struggling to breathe, despite the earlier prognosis that he was simply intoxicated. John immediately called for assistance. Pol. Capt, Anumat Ruenphanit (the policeman on duty at Bophut police station, Amphur Koh Samui, Surat Thani Province) rushed to the scene with rescue workers who were unable to revive the Mr. Thomas Graham.Tommy’s body was taken to Nathon hospital where an autopsy will be carried out to establish the cause of death. The Samui Times would like to express their heartfelt sympathy to Tommy’s family and friends both here and around the world. Tommy was a pillar of the local community, had a huge heart and did a great deal for charity. He was also an avid reader of the Samui Times. The Samui Times teams very much enjoyed the support he gave our publication and will miss him a great deal. -- Samui Times 2014-04-28 http://www.samuitimes.com/samui-resident-manchester-tommy-passed-away-sunday-morning/
hyperdimension
Why has Webfact's post that was here an hour ago with more information and a link to a media news report been removed? Maybe because it was too quick to conclude that he died from alcohol poisoning, as there had not been an autopsy done yet. It appears that the article has been modified possibly due to feedback from readers: British Expat Resident of Samui Passes Away After Watching a Football Match

Just because he's passed doesn't mean we can't cherish all the good his presence represented, does it? So I was about to ask the same question, when I noticed it was already posted. I did view a car totaled in front of Replay today, which took place sometime during Sunday evening, so I'm just glad to read that friends looked after Tommy as best they could with the information they were given from the doctors. Most likely the doctors misdiagnosed his condition, especial at those hours, they aren't the best doctors to be had. R.I.P.

Popular Post starcandle
Sounds like a great guy, can any TV member tell us a bit more about him? You have asked for more info about the type of guy Tommy was, Tommy was one of the first guys that I took to liking when I arrived on Koh Samui some 8 years ago, I'm quite a resrved person regards who I like and who I would asscosiate with, I don't suffer fools and choose my friends very wisely. Tommy was the type of guy who constantly made himself busy helping other people, if he had any faults, this was it. A larger than life character with a heart so big it should have been issued it's own post code. A well travelled man with trips all around Europe and S E Asia, he had a wealth of knowledge and a memory to match, he had genuine concern and a true interest should any one have a problem or need help, I can not recount the amount of times big Tommy or also know as Manchester Tommy phoned me asking could I help with something, yet I can only remember a few of those "favours" actually being for himself, near enough always to help a friend. I could go on and on mentioning help he gave to others but the list is to long, his good Friend Steve Watts, collected and chaufered around almost on a daily basis due to Steve's eyesight being poor, hearing of a Micky's difficulties selling his land, Tommy took him the following day to "a man who can" and got him sorted out (for a guy he only met that night). he took time out and rounded up at least 8 people that I know of, and got them all to donate Blood at Tesco only a few weeks ago, on a holiday trip to Nepal last Sept he took it upon himself to donate a P C to the School he visited after seeing only 1 Computer between hundreds of Kiddies. the list is endless, even folk that only knew Tommy vaguely got a "goodnight godbless" as they left his company. Recently engaged to his beloved Girlfriend Nok and settling down to family life with his step daugter Bella, a man who frequently spoke highly about his siblings and his parents, I feel like I know them all, but have never met them. Tommy Graham a true gentle giant,a kind, warm, honest, caring man I'm proud to say was one, if not my best friend on Samui R I P till we meet again.
Popular Post KhunKevin
for anybody who didnt know Tommy well, i first met this gentle Manc some 10 years ago when he first arrived on Koh Samui, i was the manager of the BBC restaurant at the time and instantly took a like to him. Every day after that first meeting he would come in to the restaurant order a coffee or coke and read the newspapers, chat to me about what he was doing that day, and during that first stay on Samui, he never touched a drop of alcohol, even when i insisted. He told me he was here on business and until he left he was not going to have a drink, any way on the last night of his 2 week holiday he told me he would have that drink with me, but said he would buy it, due to the fact I had helped him out during his stay on the island and the next time he would gladly take me out for a few beers on him, which he did when he returned some time later. We then met up on a regular basis, whenever we could with me flying off to Hong Kong & London and Tommy with his far to energetic passion for 'being there' for anyone in trouble, what a guy ! I received a phone from a unknown number whilst in the UK and i really don't answer these kinds of calls, but for some strange reason i answered and guess who it was asking me where i was working in the UK? Tommy ! and to this day i have no idea how he got hold of my UK business telephone number....the man had means to do some things which are totally out of my comprehension. Well some 2 days later Tommy turned up at the bar i was managing, i took some time off work and we had a couple of beers and caught up on what each other was up to, he had just flown back from the States and i had flown back from Hong Kong. Next time we met up was back on Samui, in a bar in Bangrak, same story, but to this day i never saw Tommy drink too much, he was always sociable without drinking like a fish, something i have never been capable of. I now live in Chiang Mai and was fortunate to return to Samui for a short holiday just after Christmas, where we met up again and he repeated the fact that we would have to have a few beers before i went back to Chiang Mai, sadly i was unable to comply with his request as my wife arrived soon after for our anniversary and i ran out of time, and sadly that opportunity has now been taken away from us with Tommy's sad passing. I am sorry if i have bored you with this story of our friendship, but this space is far to small to truly sum up Tommy and our adventures, he always had time for people, always asking if he could help. he was an angel to people. Too many stories and sadly we can't continue them now on this earth, but bet your life he when we meet again, i will have to queue up to shake his hand. Rest in Peace Tommy x
NoshowJones
Possum 1931 Why would you require more information other than what is shown on Thaivisa obviously for a person you did not know ???? Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand I thought he may have been one of the TV members and may have known him through a user name. Was I wrong in wondering who he was? When I wrote my post, it seemed that he was well known amongst TV members. So if I was wrong in asking about him, then I apologise, and send my condolenses to his family.
