How to get the maximum days from a 2-entry 60 day tourist visa, on a Colombian passport?

Featured Replies

I have read in other threads in TV that with a 3-entry you can get up to 270 days. How about a 2 entry? Potentially 180 days? If so, how is it done? Please bear in mind that I have a Colombian passport, so 'visa exemption' related tactics are ruled out in my case.

Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

How you do it will depend upon the validity of your visa. Is it 3 or 6 months from date of issue?

You can extend each 60 day entry by 30 days at immigration. If visa is only valid for 3 months you must do the 2nd entry before the enter before date on your visa. If it is 6 months then you can do the second entry just before your 30 day extension ends. Then do another 30 day extension of that entry.

Isn't it better 2 have a 6 month validity vs a 3 month? Can they request a 6 month on a 2 entry visa?

There are some embassies and consulates will only do a 3 month validity for 2 entry visas. You could ask but they would just say no.

Hi. Thanks for the useful replies. I am uploading an image of the visa, since I was checking the validity period and noticed that a date was crossed out when I entered the Kingdom. What does that mean?

Some things are worth highlighting:

1- I can enter for the second time any time before Oct 21 (right?)

2- On the other page of the passport, he stamp has my date of entry (April 28) and "admitted until" (June 26).

3- What I don't understand is the meaning of the dates scribbled on pen (see image). Why is the first date ("28 JUN 2014") crossed out? What does that mean?

As far as I understand form the answers to this thread, I can extend for 30 days by the end of June, then exit by the end of July, and then come back any time before October 21 for a second 2+1 month round. Is that right? Does the dates scribbled in pen mean in any way that I should change this plan?

Thanks A LOT for your helpful answers, this is highly appreciated.

The 28 June date might of been the first date he stamped and then he changed it to the 26th which is 60 days.

It seems you have a visa with 6 months validity so you will be able to get the maximum number of days out of it without a problem.

Edit The circled 1 means your first entry. The date should of been April 28th not May or June. But that is not important it is just a minor error.

They important dates are on your entry/permuted to stay stamp.

Just remember it is days, not months. So it really is 60 days plus 30 days.

If you elave and return Thailand the same day, you will have an overlap of the last day of the first enry and the first day of second entry, thus you would get 179 days instead of 180 days. ( Remember if you need to book a ticket out of Thailand).
