HI Guys,

Quick question if anyone can advise. I had an education visa, which I have been doing the 90 extensions for. I have just finished the course, but still have another month until my flight back to the UK (13th June).

My current extension of stay runs out next week on the 22nd. As I need another month (21 days), I wondered what my best option is?

The other year back, I was able to apply for a 30 day extension (when I had a valid multi tourist) and was wondering if I would be able to apply for anything else like this, another 30 day extension?

I'm assuming if not my other options are leave the country and come back, or pay 20 days overstay at the airport (if i fly out the country for a couple of days, hotel etc they'll both cost about the same).

And if I do the overstay, will it have any effect in me getting another visa when I come back.

Any advice gratefully received..thanks in advance.

Make a border run and get another 30 day of stay upon re-entry, (presuming you are a UK national).

With showing a ticket out back to the UK you should not have any problems at the border.

Are they still doing 30 days at land borders? Yes I am a UK national.

No way to do the 30 day extension on the end of my 90 day then? Save the trip?

Thanks Mario, as always.

The longest extension you can get is 7 days. The 30 days is only for tourist visas.

Yes they are still doing 30 day entries at border crossings for those that qualify.

Thank you...and 2 last questions while I'm here.

If I was to go Poi Pet and choose to stay at 1 of the casino's over night...does this classify as leaving Thailand still? Or do I have go into Cambodia and back out?

Also my 90 day address report is due 2 day before I go back to England. However am I correct in assuming, that because I am leaving Thailand, this doesn't matter, as it'll reset to 90 days from when I came back into Thailand.

You have to enter Cambodia by getting a visa and entry/departure stamps.

I would not worry about the 90 day report. Just take the slip out of your passport.

If you exit Thailand before the 90 days of continuous stay and then re-enter, the day count starts again at day 1.

The 90 day report, as the name implies, is for those who are in the country for 90 continuous, uninterrupted days. You reset the counting if you leave and return.
