คนงานจร so far this is what i've come up with but honestly i've no idea, is there a word or phrase that the thais use? or indeed do they have such a concept?

hi, this translates to technician, is this what the thais use to cover such general term? like a technician for everything, a bit of plumbing, a bit of joinery etc? if i said this to a thai they would know what i mean right? or do i need to add more words?
