May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post "The army chief asked for Department of Special Investigation chief Tarit Pengdit and when the latter stood up to identify himself the army chief told him enough is enough, stop it, it is already messed up! Ok, at the risk of seeming to be too dumb to get the joke, but, erm, what?
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post hahahahahaha, tarit getting some of his own medicine, looks like he is now on a leash and will have to watch his back very carefully, coudnt happen to a nicer idiot

Ok, at the risk of seeming to be too dumb to get the joke, but, erm, what? I'm with you. Mai Kow Jai. It seems to me he's pointing to the endless, nonsensical hunting down of anti-government protesters by the DSI, when nothing at all has been done to hunt down the red shirt militants who have been causing mayhem and death...!
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post Tarit would have lost massive face when he was called upon to stand up. The General's meaning might make him think a bit before exacerbating the situation with his regular pontifications.
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post To get the joke it must be heard with the intermittent "boing" sounds.

Ok, at the risk of seeming to be too dumb to get the joke, but, erm, what? The nation version is more clear: Army Commander-in-Chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha Tuesday told Department of Special Investigation chief Tarit Pengdith to stop causing trouble.Prayuth chided Tarit during a closed-door meeting with senior government officials at the Army Club Tuesday. According to the source, Prayuth asked whether Tarit was present and then told him: "It can't go on like this. Please stop. Focus on working. Now, it has become a mess. If you want to sue anyone, sue me." The Nation but I don't think it is a joke...
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post More like a bullying put down than a joke - unless a lot was lost in translation
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post So now the country is run by a general that bullies the elected officials. Great. Its not a coup.
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post Prayuth has been diplomatic for long enough, and has now made a move to stop civil war errupting. Very fair play to him, and respect. He didn't want this before his retirement, but has been forced into it (by Suthep and Co. maybe), yet it is the best thing to happen right now. As for the joke? .... His joke in that is has gone on long enough was aimed at Thaksin, for the half-blind that didn't fathom the brailled speech.

Ok, at the risk of seeming to be too dumb to get the joke, but, erm, what? Tarit is the joke yes looks like he stood up heard the comment and sat right back down again with the tail between his legs - the DSI puppet has been silenced in a very unceremonious way - about time
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post More like a bullying put down than a joke - unless a lot was lost in translation Tarit getting a taste of his own medicine then. Prayuth is making it clear who is now running the show, and it isn't The Desert Coward and His 300 thieves, and numerous boys for rent. Edited May 20, 201412 yr by mrtoad
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post So now the country is run by a general that bullies the elected officials. Great. Its not a coup. Was Tarit elected then?
May 20, 201412 yr I would have said, I thought you were much much taller than that........lo he's taller than them all if stood on his wallet packed with cash from Dubai
May 20, 201412 yr I wonder it there can be a grenade outside Prayuth's house tonight? Or would that be called a bunker, at this moment? He's made a remark, and it's not in cold-play. If Jatupon or Chalerm (if still sober) want to threaten.... go ahead.. there'll only be one winner between the three, and the name doesn't begin with J or C.

May 20, 201412 yr So now the country is run by a general that bullies the elected officials. Great. Its not a coup. Was Tarit elected then? Maybe The DL elected him
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post With all the misery that Tarit has been responsible for he can certainly handle a public admonishment at his expense. Too bad it wasn't video-taped. This is actually refreshing. We are seeing someone that is not Chalerm, who doesn't talk like Chalerm, and has a sense of humour ( unlike Chalerm ).
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post So now the country is run by a general that bullies the elected officials. Great. Its not a coup. Better than elected officials that bully the public or independent agencies heay? Plodprasop called the public garbage because they cared for the environment. Chalerm warned independent agencies not to "rush" investigations or risk being "attacked" So the country is STILL being run by a leader that bullies. Difference being is that Tarit deserves it. The public and agencies didn't. What's your views on the red shirts speaking of bullies? Edited May 20, 201412 yr by djjamie
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post So now the country is run by a general that bullies the elected officials. Great. Its not a coup. Was Tarit elected then? Maybe The DL elected him Tarit was head of DSI under the previous Dem lead govt. He has been there for too long and politicized DSI for political purposes in recent times. A number of cases have shown that. DSI has the lead investigation agency of major incidents and crimes had also done a hopeless job at investigating political based violence that has occurred in the last 7 months. How many of the over hundred grenade attacks and attempted bombs have resulted in arrests?? Even with clear video footage, perpetrators have not been arrested. Another, problem which is partially DSI's fault is that there has been a huge influx of weapons into Bangkok oin the last 6 months. A couple of bomb making 'factories' have been found but the police have been lax on this front. It doesn't matter what your politics are or who you support, DSI has gone down hill in the last 2 years.
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post So now the country is run by a general that bullies the elected officials. Great. Its not a coup. Stupid comment.....he's the head of the Thai Army.....he's in charge at present and you think he's a bully.....military guys are bullies.....they don't want pussies in the army!
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post Haha. About time that weasel got his comeuppance. Prayuth will surely enjoy the tease for a little while, I reckon.
May 20, 201412 yr Popular Post So now the country is run by a general that bullies the elected officials. Great. Its not a coup. Elected? Since when was Tarit Pengdith (Chief od DSI) elected? He is only in his job because he sold out his previous boss and colleague Abhisit when they were CRES buddies during the April 2010 riots.
