BKK disabled athletes can contend in the 25th Disabled Sports of Thailand

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Bangkok Director-General, Mr. Taweesak Dejdecho, said disabled athletes in Bangkok can take part in the 25th Disabled Sports of Thailand.

He said the Sport Division of his department has opened up the registration for interested participants in Bangkok. The tournament will be held in Suphanburi Province, and disabled sportspersons can involve themselves in 17 sporting events. They include track and field, goal ball, sepak takraw, table tennis, boksia, badminton, petong, football, weightlifting, crossbow, judo, volleyball, shooting, swimming, wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair fencing.

The registration is opened at the Sports Division in Dindaeng until June 30th, 2006.

Actually I am very glad to see Thailand doing something to open up the eyes of people that people with disabilities are still PEOPLE
