Are the Immigration Offices Closed Today.?.

Featured Replies

I should report today , and its a long run.

They will be open.

The only announcement for closure is for schools.

What about this weekend? will it be open?

Immigration offices are never open in the weekends.

Border crossings however are.

How far ahead of time can you make the 90 days report - is it 15days before? It would be at Jomtien Immigration.

All goverment buildings are closed today, best bet is to ring first to find out.

It is 15 days before or 7 days after.

Yes, 15 days before.

That is incorrect. Only schools are closed.

Government offices are expected to work as usual.

I beleive that you can file a 90 Day report up to one week early or one week late. I personally have never been one day late so I have no experience of doing it late.

I was just down at the Immigration Offices in Jomtien - open for business.

The policy has changed, it is now 15 days before and up to 7 days after.

As said it is up to 15 days early and has been so for a year or more.

Thanks guys.

just did my extension of stay,

in and out in 15 min,(Pattaya soi 5)

Also in the bank ,no people !

Have to come back at 15.00h to get passport back and put multiple entry in it .

Never so easy.

Chiang Mai office of Immigration was open in the morning.

It is assumed that they will be open all day; no sign indicating otherwise.

The printed instructions I was given by Immigration states notice to be mailed 7 days prior to date due. However, I received a confimation back a few months ago and they "hand wrote" on it to mail 10 days prior. I have not received any official notice that the 7 days has changed, only this note from someone at Immigration. Therefore, I now mail 10 days prior and have had not problems.

I renewed my Retirement Visa this morning in Kanchanaburi. Everyone working was all smiles.

Just got back from extending my Non Imm 'O' visa at Lad Phrao.

In and out within an hour. Super quick and efficient.

Much better than my last visit, when I had a four hour wait for a 90 day report.

The only hold up was that Siam Commercial Bank didn't open until 11am. Worth knowing if anyone needs the letter from the bank and passbook update for their visa

The mail in date and other requirements will vary from office to office. You have to follow the local immigration office rules.

The in person reporting early date of 15 days should be the same everywhere.

According to some other reports right here on Thai visa, a number of Thai border crossings are closed (at least, closed for foreigners entering or re-entering Thailand).

Anyone have more specific details?

I just returned from Vientiane today, came across the Laos border at about 3pm and all was normal at that time...got to Udon Thani and flight to Bangkok all normal. Taxi from Don Mueang airport to town normal also although a helluva lot more cars heading the other way at 8pm!
