Will be arriving at around 5pm on a Saturday at Utapao. Will I be in time for the currency exchange kiosks?

The booths should be open. They normally are open when flights are arriving. Also, there are ATM machines there. Not sure what bank you have, but you'll normally get your best exchange rate with them. As long as you don't have high per ATM usage fees.

It's just for bus money so I won't be exchanging much. Cheers.

  Exactly! All persons living have different standards and different expectations in life. I did not move to Thailand because it´s cheaper. I use more money here than I ever did in Sweden. But, I don´t care as I can.
