Triple Entry Tourist Visa Question

Well, left myself in a jam by not getting my passport renewed in time to leave the country before the stamp ran out, as even with an exstension I would have come in 2 days overstay, so I decided to go back to US and get a new one. I just figured it would take 1 day to renew it like the last one I got when I lived in London but, times have changed evidently and the last thing I wanted was an overstay stamp.........Or a trip to the pokey, deportation, humiliation, loss of $$$$ and maybe a blacklist stamp .

Well while I am here I figured I would apply for a triple entry 6 month tourist visa and a question the form has me a bit confused. Crazy lived here for 5 years and never applied for one of these things, never needed it, so just let the 30 day stamps at the airport cover me.

Now, the important part of this boring post, LOL, there is a question asking how long I plan on being in Thailand. Well I will be coming and going staying in India etc for a week or 2 weeks just don't want to HAVE to schedule a business trip as I have in the past. So what do I actually put down?

I know it sounds like a silly question, but, having never filled on of these things out I would hate to send it off and have it returned due to an error in filling it out.

What do you guys put down?

Put down 6 months.

put down 60 days for a tourist visa application,

put down 90 days for a non-immigrant visa application.
