Cost Of Work Permit?

Featured Replies

How much does it cost for a work permit? I am currently looking for work and a few companies i have spoken to said it is a big investment for them to get a work permit, one said it will cost them about 50,000 baht! is this true? i have read some information on your site that says it would only cost 3,500 baht for a one year visa and work permit! am a bit confused!

See the Office of Foreign Workers Administration, Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour:

RATE OF GOVERNMENT FEES FOR WORK PERMIT

1. 750 Baht = not longer than three months.

2. 1,500 Baht = longer than three months but does not exceed six months.

3. 3,000 Baht = longer than six months but does not exceed one year.

4. For a work permit which is longer than one year, the fee will be increased for the period exceeding one year at the rate shown in items 1,2 and 3 above.

This is the government fees that Thai Visa talks about. The firms you have spoken to, are talking about service providers that assist you to get the work permit, the prices are all over the place , some firms in fact do charge over 50,000 Baht.

We have processed thousands of work permits and our professional fee is 6,500 Baht plus 7% Vat. On the one year renewal, it is only 3,900 Baht plus 7% Vat.

Just depends on a companies business model for price. We chose good service, low price and high volume. The end result is the same, a work permit for our client. All of our work permit applicants have been approved, with the average approval in Bangkok of 10 days.
