Pattaya Police Clampdown on Street Crime

PATTAYA – June 24, 2014 [PDN]; at 12.10 a.m., Pol.Col. Supphathee Boonkhrong (Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police Station, Acting Superintendent of Pattaya city police station), Pol.Lt.Col. Kowit Sawatmongkhon (Inspector of Pattaya city police station), Pol.Capt. Netithorn Rattanasuchanan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station) together made a statement about the arrest of 8 defendants of various cases after police mobilized forces to subdue crimes in Pattaya. They arrested 5 defendants for consuming drugs, 1 defendant for possessing 15 amphetamines pills, 2 defendants for carrying firearms.

glad they got the ones with the guns, so far Ive never been attacked by a yaba pill so not so sure about that

yaba types prefer knives. How big a sweep was this? 30 yards on random street. But a start, and keep it up.

I have to say there have been some positive changes in Pattaya policing since the navy moved in

Maybe they can join the army when they catch them? Could wash that nice Col Winthai Suvaree car or carry his wife's shopping in from the car? Or the Navy could get them jobs on fishing trawlers?

All this after the previous clampdown, which was after the one before that, which was after the " safe zone scheme ", which was after the sharp increase in tourist related crimes.
