I'm trying to work out whether this is a cheaper and easier option than heading to BKK and then flying down to Trat with my family. Thanks in advance. MJCM Posted June 26, 2014 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Alternative could be Bus from Surin to Pattaya, then another Bus or Minibus from Pattaya to Koh Chang For the Bus from Surin I would choose Nakornchai Air Bus VIP Pattaya -> Koh Chang Minibus for example : http://35grouptour.com/ Taxi, wild guess 3-4k one way ? Yep, I did consider the bus, but in truth, I would much rather spend a bit more for an easier journey. If I was on my own, then I would take the bus, but I will have young children with me, and want the quickest, easiest option. From Surin through Chom Choeng/O'Smach border, Taxi to Siem Raep, to Trat/Hat Lek, to Koh Chang. Make the trip a holiday and sight seeing trip. Just a thought...
