arnold40844 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Was hoping to get some advice on my current predicament as I cant find much online. I am coming towards the end of my 60 day extension (based on children) of my 30 day entry stamp that I acquired at a land border. My entry expires on Friday the 4th of July and I have plans to travel to Laos on Sunday the 30th of June to get my non imm O. My question was that I have a friend visiting this weekend, I was hoping to delay my trip to Laos until next Sunday which would be the 6th of July, immigration is not open till Monday in Loas so I would be going for the visa on the 7th. What am I likely to come up against if I just deal with a few days of overstay? Will it even be considered an overstay given that immigration is closed at the weekend? Can I extend my 60 day extension for 7 days? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!
ubonjoe Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Immigration at a border crossing is open every day. Or are actually writing about the consulate not being open until Monday.the 7th. I suggest you apply for a 7 day extension at immigration. You will pay 1900 baht and be given 7 days to leave.
arnold40844 Posted June 27, 2014 Author Posted June 27, 2014 Yes of course. Not sure why i mentioned that. Thats painful for 7 days but thanks for letting me know,I was not evening sure if I could extend the extension..... Is it Chaeng Wattana for the 7 day or can I get it anywhere else? Im near Bangna and its a pain to get to Wattana? Thanks
ubonjoe Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 If you have a Samut Prakan address you could go to that immigration office. If not it is CW.
