Lite Beer
Police to identify suspects behind M79 grenade attacksThe Nation Police will soon reveal the identities of at least six suspects believed to be involved in grenade-launcher attacks at several sites - including an assault on the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) rally at Rajdamri that killed two children and wounded many people.Deputy Metropolitan Police chief Maj-General Amnuay Nimmano made the announcement at a press conference yesterday after revealing that a cache of war-grade weapons had been found at an apartment in Rat Burana in Bangkok. The seizure included a rocket-propelled-grenade launcher, three RPG rounds, RDG smoke grenades, 15 fuses, an AK-47 assault riffle, 11 40mm bullets, a bullet-proof vest, 127 7.62mm bullets and 18 11mm bullets.Deputy national police chief General Somyot Poompanmoung said officers found the weapons at a condominium belonging to Thanainant Termchitcharoen, who claimed he had rented out the room during the months-long PDRC anti-government campaign, and the tenant left the weapons and fled after the coup was staged.Somyot said the weapons were in good condition, while Amnuay said they might be linked to political protests in 2010.Somyot denied allegations that police presented weapons before the media that were found in earlier raids to give the impression they were seizing new ones. He said he would display the weapons that had been seized and kept at the Ordnance Department to refute the allegation.Meanwhile, Narongsak "Tui" Plai-aram was arrested at an apartment in Nonthaburi's Muang district on Thursday. Narongsak, 31, was wanted for defying an order from the National Council for Peace and Order to report for questioning.Somyot said Narongsak had confessed that he twice fired an M79 grenade into a PDRC rally - once at the Shinawatra 3 building on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road on March 7 and once on Sawankhalok Road in Dusit on March 29. The second attack injured one person. He also admitted to firing the weapon at the National Anti-Corruption Commission office on March 27, Somyot said. Narongsak said he received the M79 grenade launcher at the Imperial Department Store's Lat Phrao branch from a person and was paid Bt3,000 to Bt4,000 for each attack. He said he fired the weapon without intending to hurt anyone but to intimidate people and cause fear among protesters so they would end their rallies. He said he was saddened by the clashes at Ratchamongala Stadium, and that prompted him to do what he did.Amnuay said police had identified the person who gave the launcher to Narongsak and were seeking an arrest warrant. The attacks on anti government were the work of the reds not of anti government trying to get sympathy. Is it wrong to depose a democratically elected government by the military. when this government is aiding terrorism by protecting the extremist on their side that massacre children and fire grenades at innocent protesters ? I would say NO because without this intervention all the nasty truths would never have seen the light. I am surprised there are still farang red-shirts here after all this proof. Some are of course totally blind to it others maybe trolling. You should add to that robblok ; Nor uses violence and terror in an attempt to overthrow a legal Govt, as per 2010. Incidentally there was no democratically elected Govt when the military took over, only the 26 rotten remains of a caretaker cabinet appointed by a convicted criminal on the run.

Popular Post thesetat2013
What i find hard to believe is that most foreigners are taught as kids to read different truths and disseminate the real truth. Not to believe what somone says immediately even if we believe in that person. So one has to ask. Why are some foreigners still spouting propaganda that the news is fake now. A red gets caught with evidence and he admits guilt and even spouts remorse. Its clear that YLs party supported and promoted the attacks the same it was clear they had an outcry for seperation until the army threatened them. Now that the corruption of Yingluck and the UDD is increasingly apparent, he prefers silence to any acknowledgment of his errors. Oh look, tatsujins got a friend. OK how about you show me examples of my constant deceptions and half truths - tatsujin's not up to the task. You really need to understand that a forum is a medium for allowing debate. Now debate occurs when, typically, opposing viewpoints are discussed. Debate is not flaming other members or labelling any "opposing" views as propaganda, deception or half truths without providing backup for those statements. That is just opinion, and uninformed opinion at that. Basically your idea of debate is more suited to the playground. There is an unfortunate tendency on this forum, especially now that true debate is one sided and self censored for obvious reasons, to think that might is right. The more people spout off and give each other virtual pats on the back, the more they think they are right. You, unfortunately are just one of many of that ilk, if you're upset by my posts, don't read or reply to them - there is an ignore button.

Other explanation for their inability to catch and expose this and the Trad massacre as done by reds ? Rob, most people here see the techniques Thaksin's PTP proxy party uses: intimidation of opponents by law - threats of prosecution banded about, trumped up charges, defamation suits. All whilst ignoring and breaking the law themselves. veiled threats and warning of attacks by "third hands" and unknown forces. Usually these happen when predicted but can't be prevented and no one is ever prosecuted and few arrested. Actual attacks by grenades or shooting. Sometimes indiscriminate aimed at intimidation and frightening people from attending protests or targeted like a judge or the parents of people who blow whistles at a Shin elite. They are very clear warnings of what will happen should you not do as your told. Attempts to control the press and social media. Remember the cyber police chief who said you could be prosecuted not only for writing a comment criticizing the Shins and their government but even for clicking on "like". Publish or broadcast the wrong thing and you might receive a grenade or have your house machine gunned. Threats of "Shin led citizens militias" red defense volunteers and Lana armies being formed to fight to protect the "democratic" Shin regime. Stoking up of mass uprisings and violence on massive scales if the Shins are removed from their grasp on power. All this is going on in Thailand. Meanwhile Yinggy keeps telling the world how she comes from democracy, how unfairly her brother was treated, how amnesty for all including criminals will promote reconciliation and how she advocated peace; supported by her sad faced cousin who does his best to engage outside support to prop up the regime. The Thaksin paid for PR machine including Amsterdam and other professional lobbyists continually feed the left leaning academics and journalists with crap about Thaksin and his family being the saviors of the poor, being self made honest hardworking working class people fighting against a feudal society dominated by the rich elite supported by the military and right wing fascists. It's all nonsense but the left PC "luvvies" lap it up as they're always looking for a course. All the crimes. the illegal acts, the 15 outstanding charges against Thaksin, the murders, the attacks, the perjuries, the corruption, the cheating in parliament, never ever gets mentioned. You would have thought instances like sending the opposition home with a promise to vote in the morning then holding the vote when they'd gone; MP's breaking the rules and voting for absent colleagues; changing the wording of bills in between readings; forcing bills through in the wee hours; not allowing the opposition time to speak and debate; might all have been worthy of comment in reports about the Thai situation by the BBC. Nope not at all it would seem. But we did get a report of how nice and wonderful live was in one of the red villages created thanks to the foresight and generosity of the Shins. Lovely! Most can see this. Some chose not to. Only they know the reasons.
