Returning faulty bag

Featured Replies

I've bought a small satchel from Big C about a week ago and the zipper handle is working loose and coming off. What are my consumer rights here? Can I get a refund? I still have the receipt.

This might be a radical solution but have you tried going to the store and asking them.

Usually 7 days with the big stores.

+1 ^^^, the store should be your first port of call.

Most of the big chains will replace faulty goods if returned within a reasonable time.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Big C is supposed to be 30 days with receipt......exchange only I think

You should not have a problem as you have a receipt , go to the store even in thailand goods should last more than seven days.

Wife took a bag back to "heres to you Mrs............" store for them to repair it, 6 months later they didnt repair it and lost it too, after a big fight over it they said they would give the Wife vouchers for a new bag................of a very limited and crap range.

So "heres to you Mrs ............."

I finally got my Samsonite bag back this week - 8 months after I returned it with a broken handle.

They admitted that they take 45 bags back per month to be repaired in Chiang Mai alone.

I'm a big fan of "lifetime warranty"...but I wasn't aware they meant "my lifetime".

I think with any luggage or bags, you are better of buying branded items, as they just last longer. The stuff in Big C and Tesco to be fair is just cheap and doesn't last.

You should though be able to get it replaced if you go back to the store.

Already bought a better replacement so might try at least for a credit note or money back if possible.

Went back on Sunday (bag was bought the previous Sunday) and they gave me a full refund. They did offer to repair it but I had already bought a replacement so was very happy with the outcome smile.png

This made my day. Thankyou.
