I work offshore. I don't have a visa as a I do 28/28 so come and go on the visa I get at the desk. My passport is rammed with imigration stamps. As a lad has posted tonight. He has been knocked back at swampy. This has. Shit me up as I go to Work in Kazakhstan on Sunday.

I have been with mrs 7 years and we have a 6 year old girl. (We are not married) I am on all her birth Certs. But all in Thai. I am NOT going to come back to Thailand on my next 28 off. I'll go to Glasgow to the mums house. I am getting a brand new second passport anyway (I know they can still see I came and went a lot this last 8 years)y visa

But I want to take my daughter docs with me in Thai and English and get a Typo O visa for being her parent in the Glasgow Thai consulqte. I live in Rayong city. Can someone tell me where I can get all,the docs offically translated in Pattaya please, like tomorrow or Friday.

I work for a good company, they will draught me a letter saying I work 28/28 offshore in Kazakhtan along with 12 month wages slips, my medical insurance in Thailand they cover. I'll also have my Bkk Bank Acc books and my UK back stammers for them too. I do not own a bean in Thailand (rent etc is in my mrs name)

My plan would to be got to work 28 days, have my 28 off in Scotland, and get my visa for being my daughter day (type O right?) go back to work for 28 days thn come back to Thailand on the visa and get married

Does my plan sound doable

If anyone has any help I owe you big time

You will find that Glasgow will help you with a Visa, but will not issue you one. I have been in the Glasgow consulate before and pretty useless.

Since about Valentines Day this year there has been a huge change in what consulates can do anyway. You might be better going to London to the Embassy, this is where that type of Visa is issued now. Hull, Birmingham, Cardiff can't do them anymore. Hull offered to look through my documents and send them to London, at a price. Timing is variable, postal applications can take up to 3 weeks

To get a non O to support a thai national (your child) even though you are named on the birth certificate doesn't your parentage also need to be recognized by the courts ?

Mate, you will NOT get a 1 year multiple entry Non-O in the UK or anywhere for that matter, just by having your name on your daughters birth certificate. You have to be the legal father by way of being married to the Mother or an approval of being the legal Father issued by the Thai courts. So I repeat, you will NOT get a 1 year multi-entry Non 'O' based on your current criteria. You need to get maried and then apply for a 1 yea multi-entry Non 'O' either from Savannakhet in Laos or from the Brirish embassy in London. You cannot get a 1 year multi-entry Non O'' now from any consult in the UK, that all changed in January, it has to be applied for in person or by post to the Thai embassy in London. The same applies for a single entry Non 'O' type, which is the visa I assume you will be applying for, you should be perfectly fine in getting that.

The mods should move this over to the visa section.Good luck.

What I suggest is that you apply for a Non 'O' single entry (which is what I assume you are planning to do) which is good for 90 days including 30 day extension, with a view to marriage, for this visa you need to apply to the Thai emabassy in London. Or, you could apply for a double entry toursit visa, I believe you can apply for this directly at Glasgow without going to the London embassy. You should be ok with both particuarly on a new passport, but if you really wanted to play it safe the Non 'O' from London maybe the safer bet, considering your history, it's just a bit more hassle as you would have to deal with London. If you go to the Thai embassies website in London it is all explained in there fairly simply in what you need and how it works etc, but if you fancy a trip to London it is pick up next day so would need 1 night there (no appointment necessary) it is drop off in the morning and pick up following day afternoon, so realistically you would probably need 2 nights there uless you was on a very early train out of Glasgow to Euston or maybe a sleeper. By post, I believe it is a 4-5 day turn around. Don't panic too much, I'm sure you will be fine,.

Once you are back in Thailand take a trip to Savannahet and apply for your 1 year multi-entry Non 'O' based on marrigae from there. I think this will be the better option for you as opposed to an extension of stay from Thai immigration as you are on a 28/28. The Savannakhet deal is also a much more straight foward than applying for an extension of stay at immigration here, no finances are required for a start and no need to take your wife.

As a lad has posted tonight. He has been knocked back at swampy.

I am not sure on the details of the lad denied entry at Swampy but if they are refusing entry probably they will probably be going for those who live (and probably illegally working) in Thailand who do the visa runs to stay legal.

As you put it you are doing one month in on month out and the occasional trip back to Blighty, you are then spending probably less than 180 days in the kingdom in any year, you also have a legitimate job outside the kingdom and probably spending lot of money in the kingdom, you are not in the social group Thailand wants rid of, probably the only issue is the IO hates having to check how many times you went in and out and how many days you stayed in he kingdom over the last 6 months.

The one post you mentioned of a person being denied entry has not been confirmed yet (suspected troll). The topic was closed for that reason. You might be panicking for nothing.

The most you will be able to get is a single entry non-o in Glasgow with your child's birth certificate and their house book or passport. They will do it with you not being the legal father of your child by way of legitimization which would be needed for a multiple entry visa.

A single entry non-o would give you a 90 entry. Nor sure but you might be able to get 2 entries out of it by getting a re-entry permit. The 2nd entry would be short but you could get a 60 day extension of visit your child.

It might be best to get a 3 entry tourist visa instead of the non-o.
