July 20, 201411 yr Bought a pack of Waitrose frozen kipper fillets 230 baht at Festival and was surprised to find 8 fillets inside.A much better buy than the 2 fillets from Yorkies. So decided to make a keddigree with half of them....no smoked haddock in Thailand ! Very tasty and a very welcome taste experience. Recipe for anyone interested...many variations on Google chop fine and fry for 4 mins an onion in butter. Add a tsp of curry powder fry for another 3 mins, add 1/2 cup of rice Add 1cup of water and cook until rice is soft. Remove skin from the kipper fillets, chop up and add to the rice. The heat in the rice will cook the fish pieces. Chop up a a hard boiled egg and mix in . I sprinkled some Parsley over the top. Enjoy. Edited July 20, 201411 yr by gennisis
July 20, 201411 yr Not happy about the 'curry powder' unless you made your own!! Needs more than 1 hard boiled egg! Did you find some mango chutney!!
