Where can I find video conferencing services in Phuket?

Featured Replies

Hi!

I'm currently involved in a legal matter back in the US though I live here in Phuket. There's an upcoming court-ordered Mediation scheduled for 7 August which I've already asked to be delayed till September. However, if it's possible I'd like to do the actual Mediation by video conference link.

The mediation itself is likely to last a few hours during a morning or afternoon. At the most it will require 2 days, so physically returning to Stateside to attend isn't exactly cost-effective for me.

Does anyone know of any services or facilities in Phuket that can arrange a conference link for the (hopefully) few short hours that the Mediation proper will take?.

I reside in Patong and am hoping there are places here that might be able to accommodate a 2-4 hour Mediation with the other side in the USA.

Many thanks in advance for any info received!smile.png

Why not just use http://www.skype.com/en/?SC_B=1 I see news reports and interviews using it all the time. I use it a lot too. Full video and audio and the best part, it's free between Skype users. Also a free download.

There must be a multitude of options , but if your asking this question on an open forum im guessing the other guy allready has you.

Humble opinion only.

Of course I have a Skype account but I'm not sure how it suits the formality required of a court-ordered Mediation. Nonetheless, thanks for the input and I'll query my attorney about whether the court and mediator would accept doing a mediation via Skype...it certainly would be cheaper!

Given the conference room has WiFi internet in the room, just get your attorney's Skype account name, have him take his laptop to the mediation, use a HDMI to plug it into the big screen TV in the conference room, or, just sit it at the end of the table, on full screen, and this should be ok.

You will be able to see and hear everyone in the room, and they will be able to see and hear you.
