Brunch in really nice setting

Not sure what constitutes brunch for you, but give Butter is Better a look, in Chang Klan for quality. Works for me. Great eggs benedict etc.

Or for a nice tranquil setting out of town, Baa Baa Bakery/cafe- restaurant in the grounds of Imperial Lagoon Hotel at Mae Rim.

In a region full of five star hotels, restaurants and resorts, there are many nice places for a quality brunch in a beautiful setting. Thaiphuket, it might help if you were a little more specific about what you had in mind.

If you want brunch at a very reasonable price with top quality food in a lovely setting go to "9 moo 9", not far from Hangdong Golf Club and the notorious canyon where the young Korean died last week. Difficult to explain location exactly but they have a Facebook page and have been recommended significantly on Trip Advisor.

The chef is Thai but lived in UK for over 30 years with her English husband, and their food is to die for......especially desserts, Apple Pie, Chocolate Mousse, Fruit Crumbles etc, and all home made, none of her food comes from that "Chiang Mai Cheesecake Factory" so popular in so many coffee shops!!

Dhara Dhevi likely tops the bill but will run around 2,000baht each. Meridien decent and far more reasonable at 800baht with card available on the day. D2 has their end of month special today at 1,020baht.

"Dhara Dhevi likely tops the bill but will run around 2,000baht each."

Bargain! I better get down there sharpish! 40 quid a pop!

I know, I'm a cheap charlie!

Also, OP "Brunch"? Comes in any forms. What exactly you looking for?

Or for a nice tranquil setting out of town, Baa Baa Bakery/cafe- restaurant in the grounds of Imperial Lagoon Hotel at Mae Rim.

for clarification purposes only

the correct name is ..maerim lagoon resort (no imperial or hotel)

very close to the four seasons resort, plenty of signs around to find it

up til approx 3 yrs ago , it was just a resort, then they added the lovely baa baa grandmas coffee/cafe/ through out there grounds etc etc

have been going there close to ten yrs, in all those years the main staff has hardly changed, surely a great sign of happiness in the camp

the graze presently is good and affordable, and its a far world from the bustling c/mai centre, yet only( approx) 15 clicks away

for a nice relaxing day out, maerim lagoon fills the billsmile.png

p.s. if u feel like a dip in their pool 30 baht,plus 10 baht for a towel

to jungle chef and all, their apple strudel with cream is a delightbiggrin.png
