notready
Hi, I don't know if this is the right section to post this question. I also tried the search function but couldn't find anything. I would like to bring 2 bottles of olive oil to Thailand in my checked luggage. 2 Liters in total. Would that be a problem?
Crossy
No issue, but all qualities of olive oil are readily available here, even in Tesco.
notready
So I wouldn't need any papers or anything. Thank you Crossy for the fast reply.
chiang mai
Put another way, you can very easily buy good quality imported olive oil here in Thailand and it's not expensive.

Ricardo
We buy our olive-oil from Rimping, up in Chiang Mai, the price has fallen from400-450 B/litre to about 250B/litre, over the past year, I guess it must be cheaper at source in Europe ? notready
Actually no Ricardo, it's almost the same nowadays.
nisakiman
I brought a couple of litres of the best Greek olive oil in last year for the in-laws. It was in in my suitcase, and I didn't think twice about it when I came through customs. I'm sure there are no restrictions on small amounts like that. The price, as notready points out, hasn't changed significantly for several years in Europe, so perhaps the import duty has been reduced, and that's why the price has come down. boike
There is almost no difference in price with EU & US. But nice one if it's homemade Sent from my Galaxy S4 4G LTE
