My wife watches the Thai soaps at night.  I put my headphones on and move to the computer.  However, I still see some of the action out of the corner of my eye.  Vicious 'cattiness', pouts, tears, and outright violence seems to be the nightly norm.

Does you wife or girlfriend act like that?  If they do, why do you put up with it? 

Mine doesn't.  If she did, I'd be single again.  I get the occasional 'silent treatment', but we can eventually talk it out.

I had one TGF who i swear was the reincarnation of Genghis Khan. And she loved her soapies, when she arrived at my apartment the moment i got up to get something she reach for the remote and it became her property until bed time.

 

Dont think communication is a strong point of many people once issues arise.

My first girlfriend in Thailand was a lying psycho who was so conniving it nearly got me shot.

I didn't know about soap operas then but I wish I had. She was the ultimate scheming villain. Bounced her into touch and she shagged her way to Zurich which was just about far enough away.

Most of the girls play some kind of role. Just watch them, u got the comedians, the though ones, the princesses etc. Quite funny if you watch them and this isn't meant in a negative way

From time to time she will follow a soap - the last was Forget Me Not.....other than that, it does not seem to interest her.....

I've gone through this, minus the violence.  I kicked her out.

 

So why do they do it?  Do they get the idea from the soaps?  Or are the soaps just an accurate portrayal of Thai life?

However, what she is really good at is changing a situation were she made the mistake - but I end up somehow getting the blame and being the one doing wrong.

 

Example:

 

She makes a mistake of some kind. I tell her she made a mistake and come with convincing arguments, when she tries to defend herself. She gets upset/sad and I am now to blame for making her upset/sad. (the actual mistake she made, is now no longer relevant in our discussion). It is "lose face" tactics, the Thai-way. Get caught and blame to someone else, to avoid the actual subject/problem and "losing face".

 

The only complain I really have about my girlfriend. But its in her Thai-genes. Luckily she is no drama queen and is able to discuss after some time. But the above tactics are always tried first, which I hate.

My last wife was like that, but then again, she was 14 years younger than me and found a younger stud, hence the divorce.  Guess I couldn't keep up (no pun intended) lol.  The current Mrs is only a few years younger than me and in the middle of menopause.  I'm not sure porn would do much seeing that her sex drive has pretty much evaporated.  <sigh>  Such is life.  I guess there is always Sally and her five sisters.
